  • Charlotte Engineers prepared a report defining the engineering deficiencies of the major engineering systems of the facility including the tower, Williams, Averyt, Long extension and Whiteside buildings. These source systems provide mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and electrical services to the hospital.

 

  • The report focused on deficiencies associated with redundancy of critical systems, equipment reliability and code compliance. A total of 83 deficiencies were identified and categorized according to their severity, using a rating from 1-5 with 5 being the most severe. Detailed descriptions of these deficiencies were provided along with recommendations for future improvements.
