Michael Eaves, LEED AP

Managing Partner, Operations Manager

Michael’s role as Managing Partner and Operations Manager allows for application of  leadership fundamentals learned while serving in the United States Marine Corps. Michael is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He is also a certified Journeyman in the field of Tool and Die making, which helps to ensure that constructability and functionality are maintained in our designs.

His responsibilities include overseeing the design and production process of every project we design. Through Michael’s leadership, Charlotte Engineers has earned a reputation for meeting our schedules, no matter how aggressive they may be.

Greg Turner, PE, LEED AP

Partner, Vice President of Engineering

Greg is a graduate of North Carolina State University where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.  Greg began his early career as an apprentice to a plumbing contractor.  This experience ignited his interest in mechanical engineering and has helped to mold his approach to engineering projects and construction issues.

His position as Vice President of Engineering for Charlotte Engineers ensures that his practical approach to engineering is reflected in every project that we produce.  He is responsible for the efficient operation of the Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire protection, Electrical Engineering and Commissioning Departments.  His high-level involvement in projects still allows him to participate in critical design considerations and project management.

Charles Topp, PE

Founding Partner, Director of Marketing

Charles built a strong, practical foundation for his engineering career by working for seven years in field and office positions for a mechanical contractor. His career includes diverse complimentary experiences including fabrication and installation of mechanical systems, producing shop drawings, designing complex central energy plants and overseeing engineering designs of a new greenfield hospital. He began his career in 1973 after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
